While many of our guests will be staying with us at the Villa Pozzolo itself, we unfortunately cannot house everyone. But there are several excellent hotels in the nearby town of Montaione which you can read about and book here (scroll down).

The Villa Pozzolo is conveniently situated at the midpoint between Florence and Pisa. We recommend choosing one of these destinations to fly into. We will be arranging shuttle service from Florence on October Fourth and a return shuttle on October Seventh.

The Visit Montaione website has several helpful tips for getting to Montaione, from which the Villa Pozzolo is an easy step away. Most likely we will arrange for a vehicle to be at the drop-off point when the train arrives at Castelfiorentino.

We will have shuttle pick-ups at Noon from the airport (not the train station).
Most US-based flights will fly direct from a major city to Rome. These will usually be an overnight flight and you will arrive in the early morning in Rome. From there you can easily connect to Florence.
If you are planning to spend a few days in Rome, please see the "Arrival from Rome" section for details for getting to the villa.
A Taxi from the airport or the train station to Villa Pozzolo will cost about $100 . We recommend sharing the cab.

To get to the Villa by public transportation simply take the train from Florence to Castelfiorentino (book here). It is 10 KM away from the Villa. You can arrange a taxi pick-up or take the bus up the mountain.

We recommend spending a few days in Rome before the wedding to adjust to the time change and enjoy the Immortal City in the gorgeous days of early Fall.
